Where the clouds go..

কোনো প্রিয়জনকে হারিয়ে আমরা পড়ে থাকি এই পৃথিবীর মাঝে, কষ্ট চেপে, অশ্রু লুকিয়ে, যন্ত্রণাকে সাথী করে। পার করে যাই প্রতিটি মুহূর্ত, প্রতিটি ক্ষণ। সাগরের বেলাভূমিতে আছড়ে পড়া বারিরাশির প্রচণ্ড গর্জনের মাঝে ভেসে আসে সেই চেনা ডাক, পরিচিত সুর। শোক তপ্ত মানুষ ডুকরে কেঁদে উঠে আর ভাবে, আর একটি বার যদি সুযোগ পেতাম, শেষ একটি বার। মানুষটাকে বলতাম, তুমি কত প্রিয়। জানাতাম, তোমাকে ছাড়া এই জীবনটা অর্থহীন। একটি বার যদি সেই না ফেরার দেশ থেকে তাকে ফিরিয়ে আনতে পারতাম। একটি বার যদি দেখতাম সেই মুখ খানি, সেই হৃদয় কাড়া হাসি। সেই স্নিগ্ধতার চাহনি। আর কি মিলবে সুযোগ তার হাতটি ধরার?

কোনো একজনকে হারানোর বেদনা, শুধু তার প্রিয়জনেরাই উপলব্ধি করে। সম্পর্ক যাই হোক, মা-বাবা, ছেলে-মেয়ে, ভাই-বোন, স্বামী-স্ত্রী। কিংবা ভালো বন্ধু; প্রিয় সাথী। আমার এই কবিতাটি ওদের সকলের জন্য।

 I wish I could go with the passing by cirrus clouds.

Where the sky touches the blue eternity;
And the wind gets silent with all its motion;
Where the rainbow rests its curve and bend;
Our life comes to a mysterious end.
That place holds my beloved one.
Oh, dear! I wish you were not gone!!

The Earth is a wonder, an amazing sphere!
The valleys, rivers, and mountains show roads.
But alas - where to go?
The blooming spring has lost its charm; Life is dull, life is dark.
My sorrow catches a painful breath;
with fear, despair, and pointless hope.
Oh, dear! If you would only come home!!

A lonely star in a moonlit night
takes my sight, far and far away back.
When I looked up high and stood up strong,
You were my light in a thunderstorm!
There is no courage, there is no care;
The shining rock is lost forever.
Oh, dear! It is a life no more!!
